How to Create a Triangle in Illustrator

Illustrator Quick Tips | How to Create a Triangle | House of ClicksYou’d think something like this would be easy peasy, well actually it is! I’m quite new to Illustrator and recently I needed to make a triangle shape for a project I was working on but when I navigated over to the toolbar and clicked the Rectangle Tool, there was no triangle option so of course I opted to Google for the answer and must say felt pretty darn silly when I found out how to do it…also I then had a lightbulb moment and remembered this is pretty much the same way you would create a triangle in Photoshop too.

For those of you who are prone to complete blonde moments like myself, this is for you…

1. Click on the Rectangle Tool from the toolbar.

2. Choose the Polygon tool.

3. Click gently onto the artboard and a box should appear, from here you are able to choose the number of sides you would like your shape to have so of course a triangle is 2 so enter that into the box and click ok.
