Hoooooooooooooraaaaaayyyyy I’ve finally finished my photography logo design, it’s only been two years in the making, hence the long celebration. The reason its taken me so long is because I have been so indecisive with what I wanted my brand to be, I love the American retro feel but I also equally love anything that has a fashion editorial design BUT these two things are very different and cannot be combined so I found myself at a crossroads. The only thing I was certain on was the colour scheme, mint and gold. Without boring you with this long journey, I had a bit of a break from the logo brainstorming and when I came back to it a couple of months ago, I decided to start a fresh by forgetting about the two themes I had my heart set on and thought more about how the logo design would tie in with the website (another thing on my to do list!) and I started playing with the idea of using angular shapes which led me to a subtle aztec design…..Voila!
I must say I am so in love with this logo and very proud of myself as I am not a professional designer and have taught myself lots of new tricks whilst creating this so it’s been a HUGE learning curve and totally worth it in the end.
I’m currently in the process of creating some business cards and I have decided to keep the shape of the card the same as the logo, so the front of the business card will look the same as the logo above and the back I am keeping very similar but replacing my name etc with contact information, below is the almost finished version.
I can’t wait for the business cards to arrive so I can share with you all…watch this space!
